The Walks:
Includes a huge amount of detail about the man himself, but also you will find out about other historical residents, including V.I. Lenin, Tom Paine, and Thomas Carlyle.
This walk gives chapter and verse on the great novelist and visits sites of scenes in his books - plus strange bed fellows V.I. Lenin, Tom Paine, Dame Alice Owen and Judy Chicago. Add George Cruikshank, Wilkie Collins and the author of 'Trilby', George Du Maurier and you have a heady brew.

It will end in the Island Queen Pub, where you can continue to discuss "Jack the Ripper" and other conspiracy theories and possibly solve a few unsolved murders over a pint.

Peter has a huge personal regard for and knowledge of George Orwell, but will also talk about Evelyn Waugh, Walter Sickert (was he Jack the Ripper?).
This walk features of course the great writer and essayist himself but also his friends such as Arthur Koestler, Sir John Betjeman and Malcolm Muggeridge. Other writers and personalities featured are: Evelyn Waugh, Walter Sickert (recently declared by writer Patricia Cornwell to be 'Jack the Ripper'). Not forgetting Oliver Goldsmith, Virginia Woolf and other Bloomsbury characters, George and Weedon Grossmith and for complete contrast the birthplace of Punk Rock. The walk ends at Orwell's favourite pub for Sunday Lunch.
